TTMOA Supports EPA Efforts to Update Some Heavy-Duty Vehicle Testing and Technical Improvements

The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association provided brief comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding improvements for heavy-duty engine and vehicle test procedures and other amendments on June 26.

“The motor vehicle supplier industry provides solutions for clean mobility and is committed to providing affordable technologies needed to increase fuel efficiency and continue to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) and criteria pollutant emissions from vehicles,” the statement said.

“Ambition is the path to success, persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.

TTMOA supports the agency’s proposed technical improvements to HDV and engines,” the statement concludes. “Since motor vehicle suppliers play a role in the development of many of these technologies, TTMOA provides recommendations for improving some of the updates by including more of the values and processes for increased transparency
